Trent Rockets secured their place in the Men’s Hundred 2025 final after relentless rain washed out the Eliminator against Northern Superchargers. Since Rockets finished higher in the league standings, they advanced directly despite no result in the contest.

🚨 Trent Rockets strike early before rain delay

The Eliminator began 20 minutes late, and Rockets made an instant impact when Zak Crawley edged to slip. Dan Lawrence quickly shifted the momentum, smashing Sam Cook for two sixes and driving Lockie Ferguson’s first ball to the boundary. At the other end, Dawid Malan looked fluent, clearing Marcus Stoinis and David Willey for sixes before Willey dismissed him on the very next ball.

Superchargers suffered another setback when skipper Harry Brook lost his stumps to Stoinis just before rain arrived. After the restart, Rehan Ahmed struck with another wicket, but David Miller countered in explosive style. He launched three sixes off Ahmed in one set and another against Stoinis. His 28 from just 9 deliveries gave the innings momentum, but Stoinis bowled him out next ball. With 25 balls still left, heavy rain ended the innings at 119/5 in 75 balls.

🌧️ Trent Rockets denied chase by persistent showers

Trent Rockets received a revised target of 134 in 75 balls, but showers interrupted again just as they came out to bat. The requirement later dropped to 105 off 55, and Rockets started steadily with 12 runs from the opening set. However, the rain returned, forcing the players off and ending the match. The abandonment pushed Rockets into the final on league position.
