🔥 Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav dominate MI

Yashasvi Jaiswal delivered a brilliant unbeaten 77 off 32 balls as Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians by 27 runs in a rain-hit 11-over IPL 2026 clash in Guwahati. Alongside him, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed 39 off just 14 balls, helping RR register their third straight win of the season.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first. However, RR’s openers came out with attacking intent from the first over and quickly took control of the game.

⚡ Yashasvi Jaiswal powers RR to 150

In a shortened match, the powerplay lasted only 3.2 overs. Therefore, both Jaiswal and Vaibhav made full use of the field restrictions.

Jaiswal was in complete control. He struck 10 fours and 4 sixes, scoring at a strike rate of over 240. Moreover, his shot selection and timing were outstanding throughout the innings.

At the other end, Vaibhav continued his fearless form. Meanwhile, the teenager smashed five sixes and kept MI’s bowlers under constant pressure.

The opening stand gave Rajasthan the perfect platform. Later, captain Riyan Parag chipped in with a quick 20 off 10 balls, while Shimron Hetmyer stayed unbeaten till the finish.

As a result, Rajasthan Royals posted a massive 150/3 in 11 overs.

For Mumbai, AM Ghazanfar was the most effective bowler with 2/21. However, the rest of the bowling attack struggled badly.

Chasing 151 in 11 overs, Mumbai Indians needed a flying start. Instead, they lost wickets at regular intervals.

Ryan Rickelton departed early. Soon after, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav also fell, putting MI under immediate pressure.

Tilak Varma scored 14, while Hardik Pandya managed 9. Later on, Naman Dhir and Sherfane Rutherford played quick cameos to keep the chase alive.

Nevertheless, the required run rate kept rising.

Eventually, Mumbai Indians finished on 123/9, falling short by 27 runs.
