Antigua & Barbuda Falcons made history in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). They qualified for the playoffs for the first time after beating Guyana Amazon Warriors by four wickets at Providence Stadium.
The foundation of this win came from the bowlers. Jayden Seales and Usama Mir combined for seven wickets, restricting the Warriors to just 99. This was their lowest-ever total at home. In reply, the Falcons struggled early. However, Amir Jangoo kept calm and guided the chase with a crucial half-century.

Captain Imad Wasim chose to bowl first. Soon after, birthday boy Seales gave his team the breakthrough by dismissing Moeen Ali. Moreover, he struck twice in the PowerPlay, sending back Ben McDermott and Shimron Hetmyer. As a result, the Warriors’ top order collapsed, and Seales finished with superb figures of 4/15.

The Warriors fought hard in defense. Imran Tahir and Moeen Ali reduced the Falcons to 36/5. Even so, Amir Jangoo showed composure under pressure. He rotated the strike, punished loose balls, and slowly shifted momentum. Furthermore, he found support from Fabian Allen. Eventually, Jangoo reached his fifty with a six and stayed unbeaten on 51. As a result, Falcons chased down 103/6 in 19.1 overs and celebrated their first CPL playoff qualification.
