South Africa have announced their white-ball squads for the upcoming England tour. The big news is the return of David Miller. The left-hander headlines five key changes across formats. Miller joins Donovan Ferreira, Keshav Maharaj, Marco Jansen, and Lizaad Williams in strengthening the Proteas ahead of six matches in England and Wales.

💪 David Miller returns to strengthen Proteas T20I squad

David Miller is back in the T20I lineup. Known for his finishing ability, he brings power and experience to the middle order. Miller has been one of South Africa’s most reliable match-winners. His comeback adds depth at a time when stability is crucial.

Miller’s return is not the only boost. Donovan Ferreira also re-enters the squad after shining in domestic and franchise leagues. His big-hitting in the final overs makes him a dangerous option.

Keshav Maharaj strengthens the spin department. Along with his bowling, he provides leadership and composure. His presence allows the Proteas to experiment with dual-spin tactics if needed.

⚡ David Miller headlines squad with Jansen, Williams comeback

Two more names return from injury. Marco Jansen, after recovering from a thumb problem, adds balance with both bat and ball. He can open with the new ball, bowl at the death, and hit cleanly in the lower order.

Lizaad Williams, back from a knee injury, also re-joins. The coaching staff confirmed their plan was to reintroduce him and Jansen through the T20Is. This gives both bowlers time to regain rhythm.

🏏 David Miller boost as Rabada and Bavuma managed carefully

Kagiso Rabada has been included but will be handled with care. He missed the ODIs in Australia due to an ankle issue. South Africa hope to use him in part of the ODI series, but his main role will be in the T20Is.

ODI skipper Temba Bavuma will also have his workload managed. Head coach Shukri Conrad stressed the need to protect players with the T20 World Cup approaching.

📊 South Africa’s recent record in England

The Proteas last toured England in 2022. They drew the ODI series 1-1 and won the T20Is 2-1. This time, they face three ODIs and three T20Is from September 2–14, 2025.

With veterans like Miller, Rabada, and Maharaj back, alongside youngsters such as Brevis, Maphaka, and Stubbs, the Proteas will be confident of a strong performance.
