Saif Hasan returns to the Bangladesh T20I squad after a gap of one and a half years, while wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan makes a comeback after three years. Nurul last played a T20I during the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia in November 2022, whereas Saif was last seen at the Asian Games 2023.

Moreover, both players earned their recalls through strong performances in domestic cricket. Additionally, Nurul recently featured for the Bangladesh A team, which further strengthened his case. Their inclusion significantly boosts Bangladesh’s squad ahead of the three-match T20I series against the Netherlands, starting August 30 in Sylhet.

⚡ Saif Hasan’s Return Boosts Bangladesh Squad

Saif Hasan’s comeback brings depth and experience to the batting line-up. Furthermore, his consistent domestic performances and prior international exposure made him a natural choice for the selectors. In fact, Saif’s presence is expected to add stability in crucial middle-order positions.

🏏 Nurul Hasan Also Makes a Comeback

Alongside Saif, Nurul Hasan earns a spot after three years. Notably, his recent form for Bangladesh A and strong domestic record were key factors in his selection. Meanwhile, his experience behind the stumps will be vital for the team’s balance.

❌ Mehidy Hasan Miraz Misses Out

While Saif and Nurul return, Mehidy Hasan Miraz failed to retain his main squad spot and has been placed on the reserve list. Meanwhile, stand-by players for the Asia Cup include Soumya Sarkar, Tanvir Islam, and Hasan Mahmud. Interestingly, former T20I captain Najmul Hossain is absent from the stand-by list. However, these changes indicate the selectors’ focus on fresh talent and strategic depth.
