Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson traveled to the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru to receive full medical clearance. The wicketkeeper-batter flew from Guwahati on March 31 for fitness assessments conducted by the CoE’s Sports Science team.

Initially, he received only partial clearance to play in IPL 2024 after surgery on his right index finger. As a result, he stepped down as captain, allowing Riyan Parag to lead. He also played as an Impact Player in Rajasthan Royals’ first three matches. However, sources confirm that his injury has healed, and he feels ready to resume wicketkeeping and captaincy.
