Zimbabwe will arrive in Bangladesh on April 15 for a two-match Test series. This marks their first Test tour to Bangladesh since February 2020. In their last visit, they lost by an innings and 106 runs in a one-off Test.
The first Test will be played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on April 20. The second and final match will take place at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on April 28.
Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNS) will not host any games in this series. The last time SBNS missed out on a Test was in March 2024, when Bangladesh played Sri Lanka in Sylhet and Chattogram.
A BCB official stated that the ongoing Dhaka Premier League (DPL) influenced this decision. Since SBNS is hosting DPL matches, the board preferred Sylhet and Chattogram. These venues have well-rested pitches, ensuring better conditions for Test cricket.
