New Zealand batting maestro Kane Williamson has signed a two-year contract with Middlesex, set to begin in the 2025 English summer. The former BlackCaps captain will feature in both the Vitality T20 Blast and the County Championship, adding immense experience to the squad.

This will be Williamson’s third county stint, having previously played for Gloucestershire (2011-12) and Yorkshire (2013-18).

Williamson’s Availability & Middlesex Stint

The 33-year-old will be available for:
✅ 10 out of 14 group-stage matches in the Vitality T20 Blast
✅ At least five County Championship matches in the latter half of the season

Additionally, Williamson will also play for London Spirit in The Hundred, making Lord’s his home ground from May to September 2025.

Middlesex’s Ambitions for 2025

Middlesex finished third in Division Two of the 2024 County Championship and will now push for promotion to Division One. However, their T20 Blast campaign was disappointing, finishing eighth in the South Group. With Williamson’s presence, they will aim for a major turnaround in both formats.
