Trinbago Knight Riders showcased another dominant performance in CPL 2025, thrashing Antigua and Barbuda Falcons by eight wickets to secure their third win in four matches. A clinical bowling effort restricted the Falcons to 146/7, before Alex Hales and Keacy Carty powered TKR to a comfortable chase.

Trinbago Knight Riders strike early with Amir’s spell ⚡

Falcons were stunned right at the start when Mohammad Amir bowled a fiery double-wicket maiden in the opening over. His inswinger trapped Rahkeem Cornwall lbw, and Karima Gore followed two balls later.

While Jewel Andrew countered briefly with boundaries and two sixes off Sunil Narine, Falcons failed to build momentum.

Trinbago Knight Riders tighten grip with Hosein & Russell 💥

After the PowerPlay, Akeal Hosein struck twice, dismissing Shakib Al Hasan to leave the Falcons reeling. From 71/4, the innings collapsed further to 71/6 in just three deliveries.

The pressure mounted when Andre Russell produced a sensational double-wicket maiden, removing Andrew and Fabian Allen.

The Pakistan duo of Usama Mir and Imad Wasim dragged Falcons close to 150, with Usama’s powerful hitting (three sixes) and Imad’s late boundaries. But Imad’s injury in the final over was a major setback, ruling him out of bowling.

Trinbago Knight Riders chase powered by Hales & Carty ✅

Chasing 147, TKR made a cautious start, posting 42 runs in the PowerPlay while losing Colin Munro. But with dew making conditions tougher for bowlers, the game swung in their favour.

Keacy Carty dominated the innings with clean hitting, reaching his half-century with two sixes off Gore. His fluent 60 ensured no pressure on the chase. Alex Hales anchored smartly, bringing up his fifty as well. Skipper Nicholas Pooran applied the finishing touches with towering sixes, sealing TKR’s first-ever win over Falcons.
