🟡 TSK Blow Away Orcas to Seal Ruthless 3rd Win

TSK marched to their third straight win in MLC 2025 with a dominant 93-run victory over Seattle Orcas on Monday (June 17). After putting up a challenging total of 153, their bowlers produced a devastating display, bowling out the Orcas for just 60 in under 14 overs.

From the outset, TSK were sharp with the ball. Zia-ul-Haq and Nandre Burger set the tone early, dismantling the Orcas’ top order in the powerplay. By the fifth over, the score was a shocking 21 for 5. Their deliveries moved both ways, often beating the bat and occasionally finding the edge. As a result, the Orcas had no breathing room to settle.

🟢 TSK Spinner Noor Ahmad Rattles the Middle Order

Once the pacers had done their job, TSK turned to spin. Noor Ahmad, introduced in the seventh over, made an immediate impact. He trapped Sujit Nayak and Harmeet Singh LBW in quick succession. Consequently, the Orcas’ situation went from bad to worse, slumping to 27 for 7.

Meanwhile, Aaron Jones and Jasdeep Singh provided a brief glimmer of resistance. They put together a small partnership of 18 runs. Jones attacked Daryl Mitchell and Noor for sixes. However, Marcus Stoinis dismissed him while attempting another pull shot, top-edging to short third.

Noor then removed Obed McCoy, continuing his dream spell. The final wicket stand added just seven runs off 17 balls before Burger returned and wrapped things up.

🔵 TSK’s Batting Anchored by Mukkamalla and Stoinis

Earlier in the match, TSK had to battle hard on a slow surface. Faf du Plessis and Devon Conway struggled for timing and were dismissed inside the powerplay. Therefore, the pressure shifted to the middle order.

In response, Saiteja Mukkamalla and Daryl Mitchell added 48 important runs. Although Mitchell found it hard to accelerate, Mukkamalla counterattacked. He smashed two sixes, including one over long-on against Sikandar Raza.

After their departure, it was Marcus Stoinis who brought energy back to the innings. He played a stunning cameo, hitting 28 off just 12 balls. Importantly, he smashed four sixes, helping to push the score past 150. In the final over, Milind Kumar and Shubham Ranjane also chipped in with big hits.

As a result, TSK reached 153/6, a total that proved more than sufficient on the tricky pitch.
